At the Psychologist

Established in 2021, Major Healthcare was founded with a clear purpose: to provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care that enables people to live with dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing.

We support children, young people and adults with a wide range of assessed care and support needs. Every service is tailored to the individual, taking into account their needs, preferences, routines, communication needs, health requirements and desired outcomes, ensuring care is safe, appropriate and centred around what matters most to them.

We understand that choosing the right care provider is an important decision. That is why we take the time to listen, understand what matters most to each person and work in partnership with individuals, families, carers and professionals to provide support that is safe, consistent and responsive as needs change.

Whether supporting someone in their own home, within the community or as part of a short break, our focus is on building trusted relationships and providing high-quality care that promotes independence, choice, wellbeing and meaningful everyday experiences.

Our Values

Our values are at the heart of Major Healthcare and shape how we work, how we make decisions and how we support the people in our care. They guide the way our staff build relationships, work with families and professionals, respond to challenges and deliver care and support.

We believe our values should be reflected in everything we do, from the people we recruit and how we support our staff, to the way we deliver care, respond to concerns and continually look for ways to improve.

No two people are the same, which is why every package of care and support is tailored to the individual. We take the time to understand each person's

•    Assessed needs and desired outcomes
•    Daily routines and preferences

Care and support plans and risk assessments are regularly reviewed to ensure support remains safe, appropriate and responsive as needs and circumstances change.

Safe, Skilled and Trusted Support

Safeguarding, dignity and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do.

Our care and support staff are carefully selected through robust recruitment and suitability checks, including enhanced DBS checks, and receive the training, guidance and ongoing development needed to carry out their roles safely and effectively.

Where an individual has specific, specialist or complex needs, staff receive additional training and competency assessment relevant to the care they are required to provide.

We are committed to ensuring our teams have the knowledge, skills, competence and ongoing support needed to deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred care with confidence and consistency.

Working Together

Great care is built through strong partnerships. We work closely with:

  • Individuals and their families

  • Local authorities

  • NHS professionals

  • Commissioners

  • Hospitals

  • District nursing teams

  • Other healthcare professionals

This collaborative approach supports effective communication, continuity of care and a prompt response when a person's needs change.

Supporting Independence and Meaningful Outcomes

Our role goes beyond meeting care needs. We support people to maintain and develop their independence, relationships and wellbeing, access their communities and take part in activities and everyday experiences that are meaningful to them.

Through personalised care and support, encouragement and positive risk-taking we help individuals make choices, develop confidence, build on their strengths and have greater control over their daily lives.

Our focus is always on achieving meaningful outcomes that reflect what matters most to the individual and support them to live as independently and fully as possible.

Looking Ahead

As Major Healthcare continues to grow, our commitment remains the same; every person matters.

We will continue to invest in our people, strengthen our partnerships and develop the quality of the services we provide. By listening to the people, we support, their families, carers and the professionals we work alongside, we can learn from their experiences, respond to feedback and continually improve the way we deliver care.

As we grow, we will remain focused on what matters most; providing safe, compassionate and person-centred care that promotes positive outcomes and makes a meaningful difference to the lives of the people we support.
